Producer Out Of The Bay Is Ready To Take Over The Game: Cskdray

The week is already coming to an end and we hope you guys are continuing to take care of business. And as always, make sure to go chug some water for real. We got a producer for you guys today out of Oakland, California that’s been working on finishing up his second official beat tape! Give it up for the young and talented, Cskdray! Growing up around both his father and uncle who were both DJ's, it was inevitable that he would grow up to have a passion for music. There were loads of vinyl's all over to listen and gain inspiration from. This is how Cskdray figured out how sampling worked. One of our generation's greatest producers is Kanye West for that exact reason. He can sample like no other and be able to create diamonds from coal. A great example of that would be when Ye sampled a Christmas song from the 1930’s on one of the tracks off “Kids See Ghosts”. It takes a special ear to be able to utilize a sliver of a song to become the base of an entire track. In fact, Kanye was Cskdray’s first inspiration for sampling after he heard “Slow Jamz” playing in his living room one summer. From that moment on he knew he wanted to create music just like that. Once Cskdray left for college and received some financial aid money, he dropped out and used the money to purchase a beat machine. It's safe to say it's been history ever since. He hasn’t looked back since and has been dedicating his time to chasing his dreams. If you'd like to stay up to date with Cskdray's latest drops, click here for his Instagram!
